Professor Martyn Regan
I am a public health doctor with over thirty years of experience in the North of England and the Midlands, working for a number of different health authorities and public health agencies in several roles, including as an epidemiologist and the past ten years as a senior manager. As Public Health England Centre Director for Yorkshire and the Humber, I was the lead Director for Research and Development. My present role builds upon this experience, and I am now looking to strengthen R&D capacity across the North of England by helping to establish research hubs.
I am a Well North Board Member, and advisor to the Well North Evaluation Team. I have been actively promoting the opportunities that the Well North Programme offers to the research community across the North of England to be able to undertake cutting edge public health research together with local community leaders.
I am passionate about making things happen, and enjoy connecting people together so that we can better tackle the many public health challenges we share across the North.
