I have worked for over 20 years in the fields of economic development, community regeneration, entrepreneurship and business growth. I’ve overseen many projects and initiatives delivering real impact in communities and businesses, creating sustainable economic wealth.
In 2012 I led the successful bid and delivery of the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Liverpool which hosted over 3,000 delegates from over 120 countries with 70 fringe events across the city stimulating an entrepreneurial mind-set and culture from ‘school room’ to ‘board room’.
I have a reputation for developing innovative partnerships and initiatives that make a real difference, and strive to develop new ideas and best practice to drive economic growth by supporting entrepreneurs to create the jobs for the future.
My role within Well North is to identify and establish funding opportunities and provide business support for social businesses within the Pathfinder areas. This includes the provision of mentoring and business advice to support the financial viability, sustainability and growth of organisations. I also provide support with business planning, bid writing and funding applications to provide employment opportunities generating economic wealth within the Pathfinder communities.
I am passionate about making a difference to people’s lives. I like to collaborate and bring people and organisations together to maximise their true potential and to make a bigger impact. I am also passionate about raising awareness of breast cancer and raising money for charities through my fashion resale site www.wornbyus.com.
